Welcome to the website for the 2023 Gate Gallop!
The 2023 event will take place on Sunday 25th June at the Anker Valley Sports Complex in Amington, Tamworth. It is an off road, traffic free event organised by the Peel Road Runners and is part of the Burton and District Summer League.
We will offer our usual line-up of events including the ~600 m Children’s run, a 4.4k Fun Run (ages 9 and above) and a 10k Race (ages 15 and over). For more details on any of these events, click here to be directed to the “events” tab.
Entries for the Children’s run are on the day only (£3), with registration from 9 am.
As ever, medals and goody bags will be provided to all of the winners.
We will operate a mass-start this year for both races, and are bringing back the ever-popular cake stall and childrens entertainment. We hope to again run a tombola on the day, with various prizes donated by local companies and friends. As usual, all proceeds from this will go to St Giles Hospice.
We thank the following companies and organisations for their support for the 2022 event, with prizes, goody-bag gifts, donations and various other services. Thanks to their generosity, and to the runners who entered the events, over £6.4k was raised.
